Referred to by many as a prohibition-style speakeasy, The Richardson is, put simply, a proper American bar. We offer a wide selection of expertly made cocktails, old-world wines & draft beers, as well as light fare till the wee hours of the morning. The Richardson has plenty of seating, as well as standing room, and we can usually accommodate small parties with a simple phone call.
The cocktail list rotates a selection of both classics & house recipes. Fourteen draft beer selections consist of European classics & Northeastern U.S. specialties and our wine list is an ever-growing offering of reds, whites, pinks & bubbles. A point of pride, our spirit selection is the largest in the Greenpoint / Williamsburg neighborhood and we regularly feature hard to find amaros, eau de vies & American whiskies.
We believe the only way to prepare drinks is by using quality ingredients & traditional drink-making techniques. Juices are squeezed fresh daily, house liquors are premium brands selected for their quality and Manhattans are stirred… always. Our specialties are proper drinks & proper service – without attitude, pretense or fuss. Our motto is "not done fancy, just done right."
